Toolstore laid the foundation – Toolshop takes Luna's retailers online
When Luna wanted to simplify online sales for their retailers, they enlisted Webbhuset to develop an entirely new concept, Toolshop. The solution enables retailers to quickly launch their webshop based on Luna's range, with their profile, pricing, and customers. The result is a scalable and efficient e‑commerce structure that strengthens both Luna's business and their retailers.
A new way for retailers to sell Luna's range online
When Luna, together with Webbhuset, developed the Toolshop concept, the goal was to simplify digital sales for retailers who lack the resources or knowledge to run their e‑commerce.
“It's like a satellite shop, a ready but independent e‑commerce based on Luna's existing e‑commerce platform where the retailer avoids all the technically heavy parts,” explains Albert Dahlin, CTO at Webbhuset.
By reusing the same technical foundation from Toolstore, each retailer can quickly launch their shop with Luna's range without having to manage product data, logistics, or system integrations. This way, even smaller players can offer their customers a professional digital interface, with support and structure from Luna's central platform.
A flexible solution with customer-unique pricing and easy management
In the first version of Toolshop, Luna and Webbhuset have created a solution where each retailer gets their shop based on Luna's range, with the ability to customize prices, selection, and design. The retailer can easily manage their range, exclude products, and handle customer-unique pricing directly in the system.
“Customer-specific price lists are something that many suppliers previously struggled to solve, but with Toolshop, each retailer can easily manage customer-unique prices,” says Oskar Eriksson, Head of E‑commerce & Systems at Luna Group.
For those who prefer to work in familiar tools, it is also possible to export and import price lists via Excel. The ordering flow is optimized for business customers with seamless invoicing and access to order history, and the ability to include external assortments will be added shortly.
In Toolshop, each retailer can easily customize their webshop with their own logo, color palette, and fonts.
Design that strengthens the retailer's identity
To create a professional and cohesive user experience, the design has been built with flexibility in mind. Each retailer can choose their theme, logo, color palette, and fonts, making it possible to establish a clear visual identity without needing design skills. The system uses Google Fonts and a simplified design system where colors and components automatically adjust to create an appealing whole, from header to purchase button. The foundation is the same as in Toolstore, with high availability and thoughtful layout ensuring all shops get a consistent and user-friendly experience.
“We want to make it easy for the retailers to express their identity and brand—that their stores should feel unique and genuinely theirs, not just a new logo on a shared platform,” says Alexander Wassberg, UX and Frontend Developer at Webbhuset.

Built with stability and security in focus
The Toolshop concept is developed with the solution Fusion Storefront, a modern e‑commerce solution designed to handle multiple stores in the same system with high performance and operational reliability.
“With Fusion Storefront as a base, Toolstore and the toolshops share the same code and functions, but without compromising stability or speed. Fusion Storefront helps us distinguish what's what and avoid mistakes that can otherwise create problems,” explains Albert.
Fusion Storefront is built with technologies that minimize security risks and ensure that the webshops function even under high loads. It provides Luna and their resellers with a robust foundation to continue growing, with a future-proof structure that is both efficient and secure for advancing their solution.
A common foundation for long-term business benefits
With the new solution, Luna has taken a significant step toward a more scalable and efficient e‑commerce structure. Since the toolshops are built on the same system as Toolstore, there is no need for separate operation or maintenance, which reduces costs and administration. New features and improvements such as search, product data, and integrations are automatically shared between platforms, meaning that the toolshops also gain access to the same powerful tools as Luna Toolstore. For Luna, it means that they can quickly and independently set up new reseller shops without involving the development team, something that previously took longer and was costly.
For the resellers, it means they get a complete e‑commerce solution with Luna's range, ready logistics, and smooth administration, but with the freedom to customize their shop according to their brand, pricing, and customers. The result is a professional digital sales channel that makes it easy to get started and grow in line with the business. For Luna, the value is not just about the technical solution but about the entirety, the products, logistics, and the expertise that together create something unique.
